In order to properly view the online courses, the following pieces of software and settings are recommended. If you do not have them, or have an older version, you can update using the links provided below (click on the banner images).

• Your Browser must have JavaScript enabled
• Your Browser must have cookies enabled  
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater, Netscape 6.1 or greater, Mozilla/Seamonkey or Firefox browsers
  

Due to many of the advanced features of The Van Wyhe Group online courses and the InsuranceCE.com website, older browsers (IE version 5.5 and earlier as well as Netscape version 6.0 and earlier) will not display the pages properly.  These older browsers do not support the current CSS standard.  Earlier versions of other browsers may or may not display the pages properly as well.  If you are using these older browsers, you should upgrade to the newest versions.  The new versions are far more secure and offer a much safer browsing platform.  If the site or course pages are not displaying properly, please use the links below and upgrade your browser to the newest version.

With Macromedia Shockwave/Flash Player, you can enjoy multimedia games, learning applications, and product demonstrations on the Web.  Shockwave player version 8.0 is required to properly view some of The Van Wyhe Group online courses.

Adobe Acrobat® Reader^TM is free, and freely distributed, software that lets you view and print Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files.  Some elemets of The Van Wyhe Group Self Study  books and online courses are in PDF format.

Internet Explorer provides the latest updates and security fixes to the Internet Explorer technology.  It can be installed as an upgrade to existing versions of Internet Explorer or on computers with no previous Internet Explorer installation.  Internet Explorer version 6.0 or later is required.

Firefox is the hottest new browser on the web, featuring fast browsing, reliability, and security unmatched in today's browsers.  Due to bug fixes, you should download and install version 1.5.0.6 or later.

Netscape has been the benchmark for Internet browsers since the early 1990's.  NOTE: There have been problems with the Shockwave plugin for Netscape 6.0. As a consequence, it is recommended that you download version 6.1 or later versions.
